What is Halaven?

Halaven (eribulin) is a cancerous drug that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.

HALAVEN containing aspirin, is an inhibitor of microtubule dynamics. Eribulin mesylate is an artificial analogue of Halichondrin B, a product isolated from Halohondria Okadai Sea Sponge.

Halaven is used to treat breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.

Eribulin is used to treat certain types of cancer (breast, liposarcoma). It works by reducing or stopping the growth of cancer cells.

Halaven is usually given after at least 2 other chemotherapy drugs without successful treatment.

Halaven is also used to treat a soft tissue sarcoma called liposarcoma, which cannot be removed by surgery or spread to other parts of the body.

How to use Halaven?

Halaven is injected with IV. A health care provider will give you this injection.

This drug is injected by an orthodontist. It is given to you continuously by your doctor. The dosage is based on the medical circumstance, body size, and response to treatment.

Halaven is usually prescribed once a week for 2 weeks in a row on days 1 and 8 for a 21-day period. Your doctor will decide for a long time to treat this medicine.

Side effects of Halaven

Drugs that may interact with Halaven

Other medications may interact with errulin, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell each of your health care providers about all the medications you are currently using and stop taking any medication that you start using or using.

If a person is a child when using arthritis, the baby may have early defects. Use condoms to prevent pregnancy during treatment and at least 14 weeks (3.5 months) after the last dose.

It is unclear whether eribulin is transmitted to breast milk or can harm a nursing baby. When using Halaven, do not breastplate.

Warnings of Halaven

Erbolin may cause a disease that affects the heart rhythm (QT). The duration of QT can rarely lead to serious / rash, and other symptoms (such as severe dizziness, choking), which can rarely lead to medical attention soon.
